AMSTERDAM-TUCHE'S MEMORIES-PART 13-NETHERLANDS-πŸŒ·πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

07.06.2019-09.06.2019 Amsterdam-The Netherlands

Firstly, we landed in Amsterdam via connecting flight through Nice Airport. I had a chance not to be controlled by custom police for the passport however They checked Pedro’s. We got in our shuttle what a surprise then he was a Turkish. I reached out to my hotel which was a mixed hostel room there had to start different men who were from different countries such as England and India.

The first morning I had to wait for Pedro for almost more than an hour I felt stuck due to my eagerness to discover and sightsee Amsterdam as much as I could.

Finally, we met and got on the underground afterwards we met our common Turkish friend who was called Ahmet. We walked around Amsterdam nearly all day what a pain I had! Incredibly My footsteps were counted at approximately 40.000 thousand! Such a record it was!

We visited Dam Square the most popular and attractive sightseeing place in Amsterdam, of course, it was crowded as an Olympic stadium, nevertheless, we joyed ourselves so much together. In Damn Square I saw Simit SarayΔ± even though I could not expect it, of course, Ahmet bought Simit for us, and that time was one of the best moments I had ever had so far.

And then We had been walking along the Famous Amsterdam canals after arriving at the famous museum area. There was a huge green area. we could lie on the amazing grass. The Van Gough Museum and other famous museums have been in that place.

Ahmet had to leave us owing to his wife. We started to find a restaurant meanwhile finally we found one which is named a famous Italian restaurant. We ate tasty fish dishes called “Risotto” and drank red wine! If we hadn’t drunk red wine, it would have been miserable for us.

08.06.2019 Saturday

On my second day, I was completely alone the whole day...

Firstly I had breakfast with my Indian roommate Sagar. Then, I went into the centre of Amsterdam again by bus.

One night before I bought an Anne Frank’s House Museum ticket online who is a very famous Jewish figure related Second World War. She had suffered from Nazi soldiers and the army due to Jewish genocide during the Second World War.

She hid the house with a secret top roof for about 5 years in Amsterdam. Meantime, this house has transformed into a museum after the Second World War.

It was a tragic and miserable experience for me, I could quickly feel even so sadness while I was there.

There were written quotes by Anne Frank that described the brutality. It was unforgettable who suffered from the Jewish terrified genocide. Almost with the help of the digital system, you could easily come across a different quote who did was written by Anne Frank in her diary.

After my visit, I decided to go to the centre of Amsterdam on foot. I visited the Wondelpark, and loved it so much! It was enormous and glamorous grass had in it with a lovely small river where swans swam! I was almost starving. I could have a wonderful lunch besides well-known red wine. So brilliant for me! I got drunk of course and afterwards went to the most famous area which is called Red Light District! I could see the prostitutes who were standing in their open window places and hotly calling the customers! Such an interesting thing that I had never been it! I could gaze at the sex shops and museums that were completely unimaginable and extraordinary about sex for all people from my personal of view! I found a wonderful Argentinian Restaurant and had a perfect dinner. The next day we returned to Malta with Pedro on connecting flight via Barcelona Airport.
